As HIGH-TECH TENNIS Turns - July 7

Welcome to your weekly installment of tales from our exciting life! I have ONE QUESTION: do your weeks fly by in what seems the blink of an eye?!? YES - I'm a poet and I know it...So anyway, I update this blog once a week but it feels like I update it every other day...BUSY = GOOD but wow - a day off would be a beautiful thing...Hey, NOBODY likes a whiner, LOL. Enough said.

So it's been another wonderful week...We continued the TENNIS CAMP theme by bringing the video to the Craig Jones Academy Tennis Camp on Wednesday. This was our 3rd (maybe 4th?) consecutive year at this camp, which has always been at the Darlington School in Rome, GA. This was its first year in its new location at Wesleyan College but the more things change, the more they stay the same: Coach Craig GETS it when it comes to tournaments and he also GETS it when it comes to tennis camp. GREAT THANKS to Coach Craig and to the players --- Think it's a coincidence that one of the nicest coaches in tennis attracts some of the nicest players in tennis? NO CHANCE.

We traveled to one of our FAVORITE cities in the southeast - CHATTANOOGA - on Friday for the National Open (12s). This was 3rd (maybe 4th?) consecutive year at this tournament too and what a pleasure it was!!! Coach Eric Voges is ALWAYS so kind and welcoming to us...and his sense of humor is HYSTERICALLY FUNNY. He's yet another coach who GETS it. Recording hilarious content of cute 12 year old players as they nervously introduced themselves and wished us a Happy 4th of July = PRICELESS. Hated to leave early (after the quarterfinals) but we had a hot date yesterday with a very TALL person at UGA...Maybe you've heard of him: JOHN ISNER. What a giant of a guy with a giant heart to match. Hard to believe he actually thanked US for being part of his 1st Annual John Isner Bulldog Tennis Camp, which of course prompted us to thank him for thanking us...No, really, thank you - no thank YOU...LOL.
Don't forget to check back next week for another exciting report about our thrilling life!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR GREAT SUPPORT and our cameras will be looking for YOU!!!
